Radawa and Gać are competing for the title of "most beautiful". Which village will win the laurels?

The "Beautiful Podkarpacka Village" competition, organized by the Podkarpackie Province, has for years been an opportunity to reward villages that take care of their image, nurturing the natural environment, constantly improving aesthetics, protecting local cultural assets and landscape, and activating the local community to take joint actions. In the first stage of the competition, the competition committee selected 10 towns submitted by the Podkarpackie municipalities. Since May 1, they have been competing for Internet users' votes. Voting will close at midnight on May 31. Therefore, Internet users will decide which town will win. The evaluation made by the competition committee during the site visits conducted throughout May will also be important. The competition committee from the Marshal's Office visited Gać on May 12. It familiarized itself with the history and offer of, among others, places such as the historic parish church, the Christ the Sorrowful monument commemorating the tragic events of the pacification of the village during World War II, the kindergarten, the primary school, the amphitheater on Gacka Górka or the building of the former Orkan Folk University, where the Day Care Facility for the Disabled operates. She also visited the Firefighter's House, the LKS "Gacovia" stadium, the Municipal Cultural Center, the local library and the headquarters of women's associations.

The contest results will be announced on June 5. The winners will also receive attractive prizes then. In addition to Gacia and Radawa, the following are also competing for the title: Dydnia, Jastkowice, Jaszczew, Korczyna, Motycze Poduchowne, Polana, Poręby Dymarskie and Rakszawa Dolna. For now, Polana is in the lead, but everything can still change, so don't skimp on supporting local towns.
